Dr. Lilyanne Pagador, DPT
Lilyanne Pagador is a native San Diegan and Mt. Carmel HS alumni. She first gained exposure to the field of Physical Therapy through her mother, a practicing home health Physical Therapist. She admired Physical Therapists’ ability to learn each patient’s unique story. Lilyanne earned her BS in Kinesiology from CSU Long Beach in 2009. While earning her undergraduate degree, she worked as a PT aide in an outpatient clinic for 2 years. Her experience as a PT aide solidified her passion for Physical Therapy and its unique contribution to the medical field. She went on to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Chapman University in 2012.
Lilyanne completed her student clinical experiences at Scripps Green Hospital, Tri-City Medical Center, and an international clinical experience in Costa Rica. She spent her last clinical experience at Keith Mahler Physical Therapist and Associates before joining the team as an employee. She then gained further mentorship from Gunnar Mossberg, PT, DPT until the closing of his practice in 2016. While practicing with Gunnar Mossberg, she became proficient in the Ola Grimsby method of Physical Therapy treatment, and further honed her evaluation and manual therapy skills in other Physical Therapy clinics throughout San Diego County.
Lilyanne and Keith Mahler have maintained a close professional relationship. Keith has always challenged her to think outside of the traditional “PT” box. He has shown her the importance of emphasizing patient education throughout all phases of the healing process. Lilyanne hopes to continue with this crucial element in patient success as she moves forward in her career. Keith has since entrusted her to nurture and grow his existing practice, as he plans to retire and move to Alaska.
